About PDRN
Benefits of PDRN Skin Boosters
PDRN skin boosters improve skin quality from the inside out. Patients typically see improvements in texture, hydration, scarring, and redness — results that surface-based treatments cannot reliably achieve.
Results are gradual and cumulative, building over a course of sessions. Individual outcomes vary.

Skin Texture and Tone
PDRN stimulates collagen type I and III in the dermis, which increases skin density and smoothness. Patients with uneven skin texture, enlarged pores, or a dull complexion typically see the most pronounced improvement in this category. Skin surface appears more refined after a full treatment course.
Acne Scarring
For atrophic (depressed) acne scars, PDRN's tissue repair mechanism helps rebuild the collagen-deficient scar tissue. Results vary by scar type and depth — ice-pick scars respond less readily than boxcar or rolling scars. PDRN is often combined with microneedling to enhance delivery and efficacy for scarring.
Under-Eye Rejuvenation
Periorbital skin is thinner than skin elsewhere on the face. It is particularly responsive to PDRN treatment because the compound supports repair of delicate tissue without adding visible volume. Products formulated for this area — Rejuran i and Vitaran Eyes — target hydration loss, crepiness, and mild hollowness under the eye.
Redness and Inflammation
Patients with rosacea-prone, reactive, or chronically inflamed skin report meaningful improvement from PDRN treatment. The anti-inflammatory mechanism — A2A receptor activation suppressing pro-inflammatory cytokines — addresses the underlying inflammation rather than masking surface redness.
Skin Firmness and Elasticity
Collagen and elastin decline with age, causing skin to lose its resilience. PDRN treatment rebuilds the collagen network in the dermis, improving measured elasticity and the skin's ability to spring back from deformation. This is structural improvement at the cellular level — not filler-based volume restoration.
Hydration
Some PDRN formulations include hyaluronic acid (Kiara Reju) or are specifically optimised for hydration (Rejuran HB Plus). The combination of improved skin barrier function and direct hyaluronic acid supplementation leads to better water retention in the skin. Dryness and dehydration lines often respond well.
Expected Results Timeline
| Concern | When Results Appear | Longevity with Maintenance |
|---|---|---|
| Skin hydration | 1–2 weeks after first session | Ongoing with sessions every 3–6 months |
| Skin texture | 4–6 weeks (after course) | Long-term with maintenance |
| Acne scarring | 6–12 weeks (after course) | Progressive improvement over multiple courses |
| Redness reduction | 3–6 weeks | Ongoing with maintenance |
| Firmness / elasticity | 6–8 weeks | Sustained with maintenance |
| Under-eye improvement | 4–8 weeks | Maintained with 2–3 sessions per year |
What PDRN Cannot Do
PDRN injections do not add facial volume, lift deep structural tissues, or replace the effect of fillers or biostimulators on volume loss. They address skin quality, not structure. They are also not effective for deep, established wrinkles where volume replacement is the primary treatment goal.
